Important Notice: Your FSSC 22000 Certification Upgrade to Version 7<\/strong><\/p>\n

GCL is writing to formally notify you that the new FSSC 22000 Version 7 Scheme has been released by the Foundation FSSC.
\nIt is our responsibility as your Certification Body (GCL) to assist and mentor your company during a smooth transition from Version 6 (V6) to Version 7 (V7).<\/p>\n

Mandatory Upgrade Schedule<\/b><\/p>\n

Please be aware of the following crucial dates in order to keep your certification status current:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Until April 30, 2027: Surveillance and recertification audits against Version 6 will continue to be carried out.<\/p>\n

\u2022 May 1, 2027, to April 30, 2028: This window is when you must complete your required Version 7 Upgrade Audit.<\/p>\n

\u2022 June 30, 2028: The FSSC public register will no longer contain any Version 6 certifications.<\/p>\n

Key Changes to FSSC 22000 Version 7<\/b>
\nMajor improvements are introduced in version 7 to conform to the most recent industry rules and worldwide objectives:<\/p>\n

\u2022 New ISO 22002:2025 Series: The new ISO 22002:2025 series has replaced the prior preparatory program standards (ISO\/TS 22002). Your sector-specific PRPs and core PRPs must be transferred.<\/p>\n

\u2022 GFSI 2024 Alignment: Guarantees that international food retail purchasers will continue to accept your accreditation.<\/p>\n

\u2022 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): The program now includes specific guidelines for responsible procurement, reducing food waste, and operational sustainability.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Updated Food Chain Categorization: More precise standards have been released to specify the needs and audit scope of the food supply chain.<\/p>\n

\nWe advise you to do the following in order to get ready for your next transition audit:
\n1. Acquire the Standards: Get the latest ISO 22002-100:2025 standard and download the official FSSC 22000 V7 Documents.
\n2. Conduct a Gap Analysis: Compare the new Version 7 standards with your existing Version 6 Food Safety Management System (FSMS).
\n3. Educate Your Teams: Make sure your internal auditors, key process owners, and Food Safety Team are thoroughly informed of the Version 7 changes.
